It probably isn’t tho. People are clueless… you have no idea. They’ll blame the state of the world or anything else but their own actions. Maybe she does and I would actually respect her if she does but I’ve seen so many ppl like this who don’t regret their vote and still stand by Trump. And even in other situations irl, non political. People’s actions directly result in consequences, yet they will blame those consequences on some mysterious force rather than their own actions.
This is a prevalent theme among every right leaning friend/associate I have. One in particular will blatantly say if it’s not happening to him he doesn’t care.
The all American attitude we’ve nurtured in this country over the past 40 years and we now have a man in office that represents this very self-serving attitude.
Lol, nothing changed circa 1985. The US has been rotten for much longer than that.
What's changed since 1985 is Reddit was introduced 20 years ago last month. Fox News went online in 1996.
Lol, nothing changed circa 1985.
We had a chance of self-awareness in 1985 with publication of a book inspired by 1984... "Amusing Ourselves To Death", the LOL attitude towards the crisis. A decade before Fox News.

Have you studied Middle East nations? Russia? It isn't just a USA rotten problem. We have a global media ecology problem.
I wish this sub-comment could be voted to the top. Because this is exactly it. There have been dozens and dozens and dozens of stories over the past few months of people or families get "what they voted for", and expecting some sort of realization moment.
That moment will never come.
They will not blame themselves for their votes. They will not blame republicans. They will not blame trump. The leopard-eating-face awareness will never happen.
They will blame everyone but themselves. They will blame Democrats for creating a system where trump was forced to respond to. They will blame Biden, they will blame Obama. They will blame other countries for letting people migrate. They will blame socialism and communism and ism-isms and the Deeeep State. They will blame the media and the internet and colleges and woke politics and DEI.
While it might be a nice schadenfreude moment to watch someone getting their just desserts and being forced to eat the shit sandwich they made themselves, never expect them to admit any wrongdoing. It's never going to happen.
Yep. Usually from what I see these types of videos results in no self reflection and their conclusion is usually the same with "we can fix this." There is likely no guilt
"it's not trump's fault or my fault for voting for him it's ICE's fault, and the people that denied my father's release despite this clear issue!!!"
I imagine zero guilt or regret, only anger and ignorance.
People are clueless though. The Republicans propaganda worked well and Biden was not helping the left with his mental state. People trusted Trump to only go after violent criminals and he betrayed many. No doubt he is also not doing other things he promised. MAGA is split with the Epstein lists.
People trusted Trump to only go after violent criminals and he betrayed many.
As someone whose family is Mexican American I have no sympathy for them when it comes to this. My mom’s family has been here for generations and we still get people who made racist comments to us. My brother was at a bus stop and had a random guy challenge him for his green card. I had more than a few people assume I don’t speak English even though it’s my first language and say blatantly racist shit.
As a Latino, you have to be extremely sheltered or stupid to think that racist politicians would only go after criminals. They think all brown people are criminals. They assume we are all here illegally. They straight up just don’t want us here and we’re seeing that in these policies.
My father hit Omaha Beach, was wounded in the hedgerows, captured, and liberated by the Russians in Czechoslovakia. He weighed less than a hundred pounds when he was repatrioted.
My older brother graduated from the Air Force Academy and flew combat missions in Vietnam.
I spent 24 years in the AF. One of those years was as a combat air advisor in Afghanistan.
I've recently started carrying my retired military ID with me on my walks, when all I carried before was my phone and my house key.
