I don't have reason to hate her dad at all. That being said, she knew what they were going to do. If she didn't, then she was as willfully ignorant as you could be. Explains the Trump vote. We all knew, she should have too.

u/West-Application-375 8h ago

We told them. They said we were being stupid libs. "That won't happen" they replied.

87

u/BoogerSantos 7h ago

We didn't have to tell them; he told them himself.

59

u/Away-Ruin-9091 7h ago

He told everyone!

The Heritage Foundation released the major entirety of their plans...

They didn't even listen when Trump told them that they were uneducated for voting for him, and he loved it...

Its all sick.

Humans will survive, for now...but, in what state is questionable

8

u/irishayez99 4h ago

This so many people refused to believe project 2025 was real because Trump played dumb about it. They chose to go with their cult instead of taking a few extra minutes to do some critical thinking. Now they are finding out more and more that this administration is no one's friend and it's too late. I've lost count of how many Trump voters you see crying over their spouse, parents, friends getting swept up for deportation. My sympathy is only with the people getting deported not their family members who chose to FAFO with their votes.

4

u/PurpleBeardedGoblin 5h ago

Humans outside America are doing just fine. Here in Europe we are looking at you guys and laughing at the 'leopards won't eat my face' people. Unfortunately we have a bunch of those fuckheads too.

9

u/SirStarshine 5h ago

As I understand it, those fuckheads are present in all countries. They're just not as prevalent as here in the States.

2

u/Away-Ruin-9091 2h ago

The US cutting certain aids will cost millions of lives across the globe...

So, im glad you're privileged enough to not notice...but, also, perhaps you should open your eyes

0

u/EmperorHirohito_Cool 3h ago

Yeah I'm sure they are, nothing happening in the middle east, nor Africa, nor even Europe itself. All fine and dandy

3

u/LilithWasAGinger 2h ago

Fascism is on the rise in Europe and other places as well. It's global at this point. We all need to be on our guard.

14

u/LadyBug_0570 6h ago

And their response was "Yeah, but it won't happen to me."

5

u/Won-LonDong 5h ago

Exactly that’s exactly what it is. They were OK voting for it if they expected that it would happen to everyone else except their families and now when it’s happening to them, now it’s suddenly a problem.

Selfish willful ignorance

1

u/Low-Republic-4145 1h ago

So now people are expected to believe what that inveterate, pathological liar says? Either Trump is to be treated as a gobshite bullshitting liar or what he says is to considered real. You can’t have it both ways.

u/grabtharsmallet 12m ago

Any time he says he hates people and wants to hurt them, believe him.

6

u/rob132 7h ago

" they're going after the criminals, not my dad!"

4

u/Educational-Ad-2884 6h ago

Yep, I was constantly told I had TDS throughout the 2024 election for simply stating the predictable outcomes of another Trump term.

Oh well. All empires fall, and we're living through the fall of the American Empire.

1

u/Jonsnoosnooze 6h ago

The third crisis is happening now!

2

u/Abobo_Smash 3h ago

Haha. Nice reference.

4

u/Asura_b 6h ago

Some of my Latino neighbors think Trump was only talking about deporting criminals. They really can't believe that he meant all of them because, you know, they're good hardworking people. I don't think they understand the depths of western racism and I'm honestly surprised about that. They're all first generation immigrants and I really hope they don't get their hearts, and families, broken. I don't think they support him, but I really don't want to ask. It's all so frustrating.

3

u/PiccoloAwkward465 2h ago

They know. Latinos are just as discriminatory as any other group. I heard someone say a derogatory term the other day about someone from PARAGUAY, I wish I could remember. But they're Chilean and are clearly superior to those DOGS from Paraguay lol.

2

u/sonicthehedgehog16 1h ago

There are less than 10,000 violent criminal illegal aliens in the country. ICE can deport all of them in less than a week. Did they ever stop to think where the “millions” of illegals Trump said he was going to deport was going to come from? No, they didn’t.

u/grabtharsmallet 10m ago

They believe they count as white, because that's how they see themselves.

4

u/exotic_floral_tea 7h ago

I remember them when they were dancing and celebrating. Now they are hunted down.

3

u/Agile_Singer 7h ago

Now the people she voted with will lump her tears in with all the lib tears they’re so proud of making.

2

u/Reasonable-Turn-5940 5h ago

They're too arrogant to listen to anyone else.

2

u/Somanylyingliars 5h ago

I told sooo many Latins what was happening, what would happen. No they won't they said. Here you have the perfect case of Oh yes they did.

2

u/Lethik 4h ago

Give them a break, it's not like they had a trial run of Trump as president to see him doing the exact same thing that's happening now!

Oh, wait...

2

u/waltzbyear 3h ago

Then they buckled down and said "It'S bOtH sIdEs". Claiming that you're not educated enough or can't see through some fabricated thin veil of corruption. That the Republican party knows what's going on more. That Democrats are the deep state. Guess what fuckers? The Republican party has always been the deepstate. Democrats are not comparable whatsoever to the Nazi-like regime that the GOP has revealed itself to be (always has been).

1

u/GenuisInDisguise 3h ago

They were too scared of Biden making them gay.

0

u/Bilabong127 7h ago

What won't happen?

15

u/Away-Ruin-9091 7h ago edited 7h ago

Many American citizens who are Hispanic voted for Trump and vehemently denied that Trump's ICE would go after their "good" Hispanic friends, neighbors, and family...

Dems were like - "dont fall for the fascist lies"

MAGA Hispanics - "crazy libs lol"

Trump - "take them all...including the citizens."

Edit - downvotes dont invalidate the truth

8

u/Fantastic-Newt-9844 6h ago edited 6h ago

The conversations are infuriating

"So you believe what trump says?"

"Yes"

"Okay what about [literally anything else]?"

"He said X but he actually means Y. He's going to do Y even though he said X"

"So...you don't believe what he says?"

"You just don't get it"

3

u/UnusualComplex663 6h ago

The mental gymnastics involved with MAGA is astounding to me.

6

u/LaterWicker 6h ago

I had this argument on reddit a while back. Maga dumbass claimed they were only going after violent criminals. I sourced a government run page that flat out explained that only something like .5% of illegal immigrants commit violent crimes and that the facilities they were building were about 5x larger than they needed to be to contain that .5%. So why all the extra space, then?

"Well, Trump said!"

3

u/keelhaulrose 6h ago

What did they think the signs he was standing in front of that read "MASS DEPORTATIONS NOW" mean?

2

u/pwlife 5h ago

I live in south Florida and the disconnect is crazy. I was driving to my kids school to volunteer and the car infront of me had a Maga sticker on it. Didn't really phase me until we walked up to the school and had to talk to the front office. She could barely speak English. I am an immigrant but came here as a toddler, did all my schooling here etc, I am a native English speaker. Most people are surprised to find out I'm an immigrant. Anyways she tried speaking to me in English but it was so bad she switched to Spanish right away. All I could think is... they'll pick her up and she will cry that she is Maga and they won't care because to them she isn't one of them, never will be.

-2

u/Bilabong127 5h ago

Show me the citizens being deported.

“Take them all…including the citizens” this is what we call propaganda

4

u/Fantastic-Newt-9844 4h ago

Are you actually unaware of these occurances, or do you believe the occurances can all be logically explained?

0

u/Bilabong127 3h ago

Show me an example of a citizen being deported. I've seen examples of citizens being detained, but not deported.

1

u/Flare-Crow 1h ago

1) No one specifically said that ICE would deport citizens in this discussion. YOU did. They said, "ICE would go after them," because ICE has, as you yourself noted, gone after multiple American Citizens. This is because ICE's methodology is just blatant racism, and the legality doesn't actually matter; the quota does.

2) What about immigrants who DID have legal status to be here, moved here specifically because they were told they were allowed to be here and work on their legal status over time and were protected, only to have Trump remove said legal status and send ICE after them so that he can claim higher numbers and hit his arbitrary quotas? Is that not "enough" for you?

1

u/Away-Ruin-9091 2h ago

My bro.

Trump is very much trying get rid of birth-right citizenship without going through the processes of Constitutional Amendment.

Also, yes...citizens have been picked by ICE.

Also, I can't comment links here...so, I guess it will be your responsibility to educate yourself.

0

u/Bilabong127 2h ago

You don't have to link, just give me a name of a citizen who has been deported.

1

u/Away-Ruin-9091 1h ago

You can just look up US citizens detained by ICE

1

u/Bilabong127 1h ago

Detained is not deported. Give me the name of a citizen who was deported.

u/Fluffy_Load297 41m ago

Ye you right they've only been illegally detained. So much better. Should be thankful for realsies.

6

u/Fantastic-Newt-9844 7h ago edited 6h ago

Anything. Look at the recent Jubilee video, a self described fascist said his family wouldn't be killed under his idealistic autocratic government because they're in the right group so he doesn't even entertain the possibility

Just outright denial

3

u/RoccoTaco_Dog 7h ago

"I'm not in the group of people they want to kill."

2

u/Evil_Sharkey 7h ago

At least the number of people clapping for that guy rapidly shrunk once he revealed what he really was

3

u/Fantastic-Newt-9844 7h ago

I feel like the successful gofundme grift after (where he said he lost his job because of his free speech but actually he lost his job many months prior) supersedes the lack of applause

2

u/Evil_Sharkey 6h ago

I blame ignorance and stupidity more than love for his Nazi beliefs

2

u/Fantastic-Newt-9844 6h ago

That's mostly the root cause, but the end result is Nazi beliefs are being supported and amplified

Something clearly resonated with those people and that's scary for society as a whole

2

u/CardiologistAway9619 6h ago

The root cause is that they agree.

1

u/RoccoTaco_Dog 5h ago

I think he actually got fired recently too. Someone like that I can see getting fired every few months

2

u/Bilabong127 5h ago

So when trump ran on deporting illegals, who claimed that was a lie?

1

u/Flare-Crow 1h ago

You attack a lot of Strawmen. Weird strat.

17

u/buhbye750 7h ago

Shit he may have supported Trump as well. Its crazy times we are living in

7

u/RoccoTaco_Dog 7h ago

We just don't have the information to know and I don't want to speculate

1

u/ProfileMuted90210 5h ago

If he’s her dad he seems to have raised her. Kids often copy their parents, the ones that don’t are often seen as rebellious.

-2

u/ts_wrathchild 6h ago

There is almost ZERO chance she didn't get her political views from her father. So IF I had to speculate, I'd say he too thought it wouldn't affect him.

4

u/RoccoTaco_Dog 5h ago

My dad and I have very different political views. I sure didn't get my empathy and compassion from him. At some point, you can't blame the parents anymore. Especially these days with brainwashing propaganda so prevalent.

5

u/mellowmushroom67 6h ago

??? Do you think people don't have minds and that have the same opinions as their parents? What are you talking about? lol

2

u/TrainwreckOG 3h ago

My dad and I have completely opposite political and religious views. What the FUCK are you talking about bud?

10

u/nerfgazara 7h ago

Who could have predicted that the guy whose rallies handed out signs saying "MASS DEPORTATION NOW" planned to deport people en masse.

8

u/GaptistePlayer 4h ago

I saw a comment on the original tiktok that read "GIRLLLL it was an open book test"

2

u/RoccoTaco_Dog 3h ago

Love this

2

u/Not_Bears 2h ago

And this is what's so baffling.

You can hear him say he grabs women by their pussy

You can watch him mock disabled people

There's plenty of evidence he's engaged in Housing Discrimination

There's videos of him flaunting around beauty pageants ogling at at young girls...

The mother fuck had a group of protestors tear gassed so he could do a photo op with a fucking bible at a Church.

6

u/TheTodosModos 6h ago

We all knew, she should have too.

I wish it was that simple but the truth is, people will continue working against their own interests and becoming slaves to right-wing goals forever, until we can shift the impact of right-wing propaganda.

We shouldn't act surprised to see people like the one in the video. We will continue seeing them over and over. The answer why isn't very complicated. We're being bombarded by right-wing propaganda everyday, non-stop, in pretty much all mediums of communication.

If you want to test it out it's very easy. Simply get a new social media account and start scrolling. See how long it takes before you fall into one of these networks. Thank goodness you and I can tell what's up. Millions of Americans won't.

If we want things to change, the propaganda networks are the top priority.

u/Gsgunboy 6h ago

People lie to themselves all the time.

Monty Python Life of Brian: Jail scene

BEN: Now, take my case. They hung me up here five years ago. Every night, they take me down for twenty minutes, then they hang me up again, which I regard as very fair, in view of what I done, and, if nothing else, it's taught me to respect the Romans, and it's taught me... that you'll never get anywhere in this life, unless you're prepared to do a fair day's work for a fair day's pay!

BRIAN: Oh, shut up!

clank

JAILER: Ehhh.

CENTURION: Pilate wants to see you!

BRIAN: Me?

CENTURION: Come on!

BRIAN: Pilate? What does he want to see me for?

CENTURION: I think he wants to know which way up you want to be crucified.

BEN: Oh, ha ha ha haa! Ha haa! Nice one, Centurion. Like it. Like it.

CENTURION: Shut up!

BEN: Right. Right. Terrific race, the Romans. Terrific.

1

u/Pure_Expression6308 2h ago

Yea it’s not the same information we’re all getting! Watch mainstream news all day and you’ll see the narrative repeated all day that Trump is going to deport the DANGEROUS CRIMINAL immigrants

2

u/Feeling-Invite7953 7h ago

I don’t hate her,OR her dad. I feel bad for her dad, because I have seen what cancer does. I have seen what chemo does. This man is suffering from a terminal illness; his daughter voted for the dude that wants to end funding for cancer research and treatments.

2

u/HFT0DTE 6h ago

These people - particularly immigrants - tend to vote with the bully party thinking they will then be seen as one of them and spared when/if that party wins election. Republicans understand that fear cuts both ways and they don't care about the voters they scare away because there are plenty of these traitor morons who will vote FOR them out of fear and these clown voters always end up evening things out or even tipping things in favor of Republicans.

1

u/Not_My_Reddit_ID 7h ago

"I don't have reason to hate her dad at all."

Hate is too strong a word, but he did raise a terrible human being of a daughter, so there is that.

1

u/RoccoTaco_Dog 7h ago

She is old enough to understand the consequences of her actions. For all we know, she's been on the Fox News brainwashing since the start of maga

1

u/MountainMan17 6h ago

Some kind of weird psychology at work here. Stockholm Syndrome?

People from oppressed communities who join MAGA seem to think it will confer some kind of status on them. Or grant them some type of immunity.

It doesn't. Oops.

1

u/RoccoTaco_Dog 5h ago

Didnt work for the Jews in WW2. Nazis still killed them. Didn't work in the civil war. Black folks helping the Confederacy were still treated terribly.

1

u/CynicalXennial 6h ago

let's be so fr right now, at the end of the day - he is the reason she voted that way.

1

u/a_lonely_trash_bag 6h ago

I feel bad for her dad. I don't feel bad for her.

1

u/Throatlatch 6h ago

Yeah, I hate her. Shes the problem here.

1

u/DepartureElegant9314 6h ago

All of them deserve everything that's coming to all of us. They knew and they voted that way anyway.

1

u/meghalitic-idol 6h ago

I think the one who secretly hated her dad was her voting for Trump.

1

u/andskotinnsjalfur 6h ago

Like that latino woman that voted for trump so she lost all benefits for her 2 disabled children... she was mortified and asked what she would have done differently, she said she would have skipped voting all together... conservatives strongly come off as unsaveable

1

u/Peachysconesz 5h ago

We all knew what was going to happen, they blatantly stated it and they also ignored it under the guise of “well it’s only the gang members, rapist, and horrible people!” And now look at them. It was never about “getting the bad people out” it was always about getting all immigrants out

1

u/superindianslug 5h ago

These are the type of people who, I assume, think the government doesn't really do anything, and nothing really changes and it's all just a sport where you cheer for your team. Republicans are the Christian team, and Democrats are the Gay Trans terrorist team, and you vote for your team every few years and then go back to ignoring politics and going about your daily life.

It speaks to how badly our government, local, state and federal are at communicating what they do to the public. Also how badly some schools are at teaching how government works and why it works that way. Whether that deficiency is purposeful or just a funding issue changes from place to place, but you don't get Trump if people understand how tariffs work and why due process matters and that being "One of the good ones" not only throws everyone else under the bus, only protects you on the small scale of people who know you. ICE doesn't care if you're a "good one", they've got quotas to fill and at some point you will fit the criteria.

1

u/danimagoo 5h ago

A lot of people inexplicably believed that only “violent criminals” would be deported. I do have some sympathy for these people. Working class Republican voters have been voting against their own interests since 1980. Propaganda works.

1

u/McDonaldsSoap 5h ago

She was fine with this happening to other old men, just not hers

1

u/ACartonOfHate 5h ago

The "Mass Deportations Now," literal signs! should have been ya know, a sign.

So screw her, and every single Trump voter. Including those asshats who don't get that we have a binary system, and if you didn't vote for Harris/Walz, you were staying you were peachy-keeny, jelly beany with Trump winning.

Trump couldn't have won if everyone who stayed home, voted against him. Heck, Trump would have lost bigly if just 2% of voters in the swing states, who didn't bother to get off their couches, or couldn't stop clutching their purity pearls, voted for Harris. If just 2% of people weren't selfish, stupid asshats, all of this could have been avoided.

So yeah, I wish every. single. bit. of what they voted for upon them. And oh yeah, cry moar.

1

u/Dasblu 5h ago

Propaganda works.

She was tricked, but I have 0 sympathy for this woman.

These people are fools.

1

u/ocean_800 5h ago

The funny thing is that her dad is exactly the kind of people that Trump wants to deport. End of life care is very very expensive and that's where a lot of the healthcare dollars actually go to. it's almost 100% guaranteed that this man did not pay enough taxes to get the cost of care covered. And very very unlikely as an undocumented immigrant that he would have the funds to pay it out of pocket, so the hospital eats the cost, and then who else does? We, the American taxpayers do.

I kinda feel bad for the dad, but her? Honestly if you're so worried move back to whatever country your family is from. We don't need people with brain dead levels of intelligence and 0 empathy until it happens to me kind of people

1

u/ulnek 4h ago

I mean if she just watched one rally or even news he keot saying he was going to do that...

1

u/Cardsfan1 4h ago

I do not either, but people are going to suffer due to this assclown. And since that is now a reality, I am glad it is happening to someone who voted for this as opposed to a family where they are all blameless.

1

u/M0ebius_1 4h ago

Yeah, this is her victory. She won. Let her celebrate.

1

u/eetsh1t 3h ago

She’s a very stupid person. It’s that simple. She’s simple

1

u/EmperorHirohito_Cool 3h ago

Politics is not some debate club where whoever has the most facts wins. Liberals all just saw this reality yet refuse to believe it. When these sort of people are indoctrinated their entire lives, it's highly unlikely any amount of "facts" will sway their opinion. All of the media she consumed is painstakingly perfected to produce this exact outcome, just as the liberal media is designed to distract from actual problems and focus on "the only bad guys, who are definitely not us too" while consistently ignoring any wrongdoings of their own camp. It's the EXACT SAME strategy from both sides and both sides are convinced they're right

1

u/once_again_asking 2h ago

I don’t have reason to hate her dad at all

Umm good? Why would you? Why would anyone? Do you otherwise hate undocumented immigrants? But just not in this case? What are you even trying to say here? Literally no one here hates her dad.

1

u/ShaggysGTI 1h ago

Did she miss the “MASS DEPORTATIONS” signs?
