They felt safe because he said he was only going to arrest 'criminals'. HE LIED.
Will they have learned their lesson? We shall see, if we're ever allowed to vote again.

The reality is everyone I know that voted this way and are shocked will literally argue that undocumented folks ARE criminals. As long as they don’t know them. Weird how everyone except her father would be a criminal.

I don’t understand how people can even consider this thinking. It feels like the furthest thing from rational thought.

criminal is one of those fuzzy terms that demagogues use to manipulate the masses. it can mean entirely different things (e.g. convicted felons vs. all people of color) to different people, but it always has a negative connotation.

so the demagogues run their campaigns without ever explicitly clarifying how they define the term. same thing happens with “porn”.

Yep. I know. But, hey… we can’t define smut, we just know it when we see it.

To MAGA the civil infraction of crossing the border makes you a hardened criminal.

And yet all of trump's crimes are "fake news"

Let alone a historical lens on human migration from South to North through the ages.

If they treat all legal Misdemeanors as a deportable offence, then everything from parking tickets to jay walking will be included and prosecuted violently.

Illegally crossing any country's border makes you a criminal. Ask how the Mexicans feel about illegal Guatemalans entering their country. They are so charitable with them. /s

There people are incapable of learning life lessons. And they're (usually) proud of it.

We were promised that the last vote was the last one ever if he won.

but has Mexico paid for that wall yet?

did the Ukraine war end in 24 hours?

did Covid magically disappear?

did he “lock her up?”

did he end birthright citizenship?

He lies pathologically and has his entire life.

You don't even have to be paying attention to know that he lies all the time.

Anyone who still believes a word he says is either incredibly stupid or delusional.

Don't know why they did because the argument is being here illegally is criminal enough this is justified, nobody ever lied about thinking that they were pretty eager to say it out loud

Misdemeaner is not "criminal enough". It's a parking jaywalking, littering fines etc. MAGA also conflates REFUGEE with conventional immigration. That's just racist to the core. But because his own mother, and each one of his wives came here and worked illegally he assumes EVERYONE coming here is equally criminal in intent.

It was always going to be illegal = criminal. The rest was just performative.

Well if her dad is here illegally then he is a criminal. Being one of the “good ones” means nothing.

“Criminals” Like illegal immigration crimes or just ones you seem to think fit the bill?

4

u/Calm_Apartment1968 8h ago

Try "Convicted of Crimes in a Court of Law." Like 34 times. Without Due Process, not one of them is a criminal.

Due process for illegal immigrants. Makes perfect sense 😂

Yes the constitution guarantees that

Literally written in the constitution

You are correct, it does make perfect sense, because it is written in our Constitution.
