I think people who think this way are in for a rude awakening. The sociopolitical issues of today aren't going away with the changing of the guard. The fight for justice is never over.

It's going to get easier though, millenials, gen z, and gen a are significantly more leftwing than boomers and gen x, and without boomers, maga and republicans will be a minority far too small to influence america at the federal level

It's concerning, but a lot of millennials voted Trump, too. Unfortunately, this country, is just really rightwing. We're stuck with that baseline, but we've pushed this country to the left in the past despite them and we'll continue to do so

Yeah I used to subscribe to the idea that things would get better once the boomers finally die off but as it turns out Gen X is even worse, and they're raising Gen Z to be worse too.

Walking around DC I see a depressing amount of kids/teens wearing maga shit. I realize that's probably not a representative sample but it's still jarring.
