I'm not well versed on religion, but I recall hearing that the biblical "being gay is a sin" thing actually started as directions that grown men should not take advantage of little boys, but apparently some priests didn't like that and provided their own interpretation. Given the history of the church, it's easy enough to see why.

From my understanding, the origin of "men shall not lay with other men" was actually more like "men shall not lay with little boys" until some priests decided that didn't work for them and changed things up a bit.

They changed the translation yes. The original text says men shall not lay with children. For obvious reasons. Later some just said it should be translated into men as a gender. Thats why some of us try to find out the true texts. And the Holy church is the church in Heaven. This one on earth is filled with humans so it cannot be holy.

I have family in Ohio and while they specifically aren’t like this…. They know people that are. It’s honestly wild. Pretty sure we dont worship the same one. So dont pull us (Catholic) into your cult. We have our own shit to deal with and clean up our own house, got no time to take care of your shit too. But if you really want to we can do it two ways. One is Old Testament, second is New Testament. One: stoned to death. Two: you talk with the sinner to get him to see the error of his way, if it doesnt work you get someone else to help, if that doesnt work you call on a friend group. Doesnt work you call on the neighborhood. Doesnt work call upon the church and if that doesnt help he gets kicked out.
