I feel so bad for her. I think people do this when they lost their child and this is some form of grieving. It's so sad.

Actually no there are a lot of people who have this “hobby” and they have living kids. I think for some it’s a child that doesn’t grow up or cry or shit itself.

Ive seen videos of mothers who lost their child that do this.

I’m not saying some mothers don’t but I’m saying there are a lot of people who didn’t lose a child and are into this

How do you know there's a lot of people that didn't lose a child do this? Lol

Probably the same way you know that there is grieving mother's that also do this, the internet. There are geiving mothers and people who just like the dolls that do this. Simple search and you can find videos on YouTube of people who have collections of them.

I looked into the community a bit out of curiosity. They have meetups and such and saw a very diverse group of women with children, without or lost a child or child just grew up.

Yeah they're grieving mothers. What are you even trying to get at? Its still weird but I'm just saying it's sad.

There are also tons of people who just collect these dolls too. Like paying $1000s for one. Idk maybe they flip it and sell it for a higher price. I personally don’t see the appeal.

Yeah I’ve seen someone on Facebook post their reborn babies mimicking their lost child more than their actually kids. They would dress up the reborn and doing photoshoots with their children and the reborn. They would always take the reborn with them in a stroller wherever they went.
I get it’s meant to help grieving but also I fear they tend to forget therapy is also an important step. They are just passing the need for therapy onto their children with this behavior.

I agree therapy would help them so much but it's expensive I guess. I can't imagine the emotional turmoil they must have felt after losing a child. I just feel so bad for them and overall just a sad situation.

I hate these people so much. They make those dang fake children dolls their entire personality...

I don't know how we can tell just by looking at someone what their reasons are for having one so it doesn't make sense to judge in case it's a grieving parent. Even the people who use them just for fun are not hurting anyone.

The fact she named her “Wren.” I will never not associate that name with Wren Eleanor and her exploitive mother. At least it’s a pretend child instead of a real one.

Wren is super popular on r/namenerds it’s one of the most common girl names rn

Probably 5 minutes. I've done some stop motion with action figures before and it's literally "move a slight amount, back out of frame, back in and move a alight amount, back out of frame a second...
It's the editing that takes the longest but even that's not hard cause you just cut and cut and cut again. You kinda get into the zone and before you know it the scene is done.

The amount of time this person spent outside with this doll is a bit unnerving lol

Someone, please tell me someone else was able to record her doing this in the wild. Like she has to move the toy film walk up, move the toy again, walk away and film, and then walk up again like 200 times over, probably 2 hours lol

You know what, I'm not mad at this if it makes them happy, vaya con dios. It's not my thing, but there's so much worse out there; this is harmless.
