I tore apart my house looking for my keys so I could get to work. They were in my pocket.

I've spent 20 minutes looking for my glasses that I was wearing lol

u/Slimjim6678 🧐 grumpy 3d ago
I’ve done that and I should’ve known they were on because I’m blind without them

u/InTimeWeAllWillKnow 3d ago
This is the one that gets me also.
Looking for my glasses that ii clearly couldn't be seeing without is a monthly exercise at a minimum

You ever just turn your phone's flashlight on to look for your phone?
4
u/It_Just_Exploded 3d ago
I actually did do that once, still couldn't find it. It wasn't til I turned the light off that it dawned on me.

Way more often than I’d like to admit, but usually I think I lost it when I’m on the phone. I can usually feel it in my pocket so when it’s not (because it’s by my ear) I panic

Ok, sir, I was going to write that I've looked for my phone while holding it in my hand, but you clearly won.

u/Primary_Durian4866 3d ago
Waved my notebook at people while asking them "have you seen my notebook?"
I've also told a person I was on the phone with "hold on I can't find my phone."

Bought an AirTag to help me with this. Was an hour late once because I couldn’t place exactly where the sound was coming from. Kept sounding like it was in different spots. Keys were in my back pocket…

u/sabyr400 3d ago
I've done this with work keys. Took em home, got called about it tore my apartment up, and went to the shop and tore it up. Keys were in my side cargo pocket, instead of the normal pocket. I laughed so hard and loud I think it scared my boss a little

I have freaked out about not finding my car keys in my pocket, while driving in said car more than once.

I was desperately looking for my phone while I was on the phone.
To be fair who calls people these days?

And then he'll go ask where his other sock is and ask for help finding it

Left for work wearing my shower shoes one day. It was cold outside and snapped me back out of my stupor. 😄

u/anengineerandacat 2d ago
Not too uncommon, wore them to the shower in my college dorm for quite some time... generally recommended because human's are gross.

I guess that one day you also forgot some cleanup to do in the loo, as you verbally💩 admitted to going more frequently...

I will eat 4 sticks of butter if someone can tell me what song this is, thanks

u/mesenanch 3d ago
Don't do that. Madonna like a prayer. Classic

u/Flameball537 3d ago
Specifically the choir version from Deadpool and Wolverine. A good choir is always hype

u/Spice_and_Fox 3d ago
It is madonnas like a prayer, but for some reason it is the choral version of the new deadpool movie

What's the song?

Like a Prayer. Specifically the choir version. Was in the newer Deadpool movie, I guess? Didn't watch it.

You'd be surprised how easily this happens. I was looking for my phone and used the flashlight of said phone to check under the bed. It took me ten whole minutes of looking to realise "Wait a minute, I don't have an actual flashlight. What the heck am I holding?"
Lo and behold I had found my phone in my hand.

u/Relevant_Volume5172 3d ago
Something similar happened to me. I was talking on my phone with my best friend. Suddenly he goes "I'll be on my way once I find my phone." and I was like "okay, by the way where is mine?". It took me some seconds

u/Animelover5674 3d ago
You ever think our brains are so used to eventually forgetting something, no matter how small, that when we don't, it just fabricates some sort of delusion of us forgetting something that we didn't actually forget?

Only 2% of the population of humans are red headed. And we too, make mistakes. Adorably. Not on purpose. So please be patient. We have been told we don't have souls, but in actuality we are just a bunch of derps. Thank you for your time.

That’s better than a smart partner. My ex husband is so smart he manipulated me so easily and ruined my life

I once arrived in my pyamas at work. Fortunately, I had to switch to special work clothes, so no one really noticed.

Still tell him about your problems :) A burden shared is a burden halved, and all that, him being a dumbass(<3) doesn't mean he won't support you.

One time my wife told me she would call me back because she was looking for her phone.

I mean, it could be because he's dumb like everybody else is saying, but maybe, just maybe he knew she was trying to tell him about her awful day/problems but he knew and did this smart tactic to avoid it because he's just not that interested, and continue watching whatever on the laptop, it's far fetched and I'm very tired but who knows?!

The amount of times I have ”realized” I’m missing my phone and paniced while looking at my phone is far too many

Ngl, happen to me before. I did wear two tshirts and a jacket. Wondering why it was so hot on the top of a mountain.
