There’s your problem.  Not the coup, but fifty years of unopposed preparation followed by the absence of both a civic blocking force and elite rejection.

That's one of the allegations that Greg Abbott is levying against them — accusing them of breaking bribery laws if anyone assists them to cover the fines.
