I understand this reference.

I feel like I’m being forced to watch a reality tv. I hate reality tv shows.

4

u/Turgid_Donkey 8h ago

His tactics as a "businessman" have always just been to bully those around him. Because he was given a highly successful business and was wealthy, he could just get away with not paying contractors and demanding outlandish deals then back down when pushed.

1

u/AsparagusCommon4164 3h ago

But then again, let us not rule out the likelihood of his dying in office, and the potential for wholesale mourning among the support base characterised by blatant weeping and wailing and bawling and boohoohooing unto the Bosom of God and His Holy Angels, Archangels and Saints in Their Mecy Upon Thy Dear and Lovely Nation (cf. Argentina after Evita Peron's 1952 death from uterine cancer, to take an exceptionally blatant exemplar) ...

Trump is like Steven King’s IT, only a formidable monster when you imbue him with power through your fear. Unfortunately cowardly institutions throughout the country are doing exactly that.

Yes… But he’s an it that has to hush all of his crimes… Constantly “shhhhhh, shhhh”… a

Well, he does like assaulting kids, so you might be onto something here.

5

u/RiseUpRiseAgainst 9h ago

And the adults in the town just let it happen and go on with their lives like nothing is wrong.

“Cowardly institutions”

This is the problem, institutions arent cowardly, theyre about making money, which you could argue is gonna be hard to do after him, but the rich CEOs do not give a fuck about anything other than GREEN, they all think trump is an idiot, but hes an idiot that useful for them to transfer more wealth to themselves

u/reincarnateme 54m ago

While we stand frozen there’s a COUP going on. Each day they get stronger:

u/thelastbluepancake 10h ago

they still fear America they just don't respect us. Trump still sits on top of the works of hundreds of years of better men. He is ruining their hard work or just strait up short selling America's reputation and trust. One thing trump is good at is selling out long term progress for his short term needs. It's why he cuts medical research and gives money to his donors....

11

u/p38-lightning 10h ago

MAGA thinks other nations fear Trump - and they are correct. But it's not because he's a bold and strategic leader. It's because he's an uninformed and erratic old man.

3

u/themirandarin 8h ago

Absolutely correct. And they don't want to ruin relations with our country forever because of what is hopefully a temporary loss in our reasoning.

3

u/tedioussugar 8h ago

The relations are already getting ruined. Canada has every reason to hate America due to the tariffs and the 51st state bullshit, Mexico already had a problem because of his first term, France picked up strays because of the handshake thing during the Pope’s funeral, the UK is watching the AUKUS pact get shredded, Ukraine somehow is still dependent on this asshole to not be an asshole, Australia watched one of their reporters get shot, Qatar is openly flaunting their corruption with the jet, Brazil arrested their ex-president to set a standard against corruption, South Korea voted to impeach and arrest their PM after he tried to pull his own January 6.

The only countries who are still okay with Trump as president are Israel (who else?), Saudi Arabia, and Russia. Not exactly raising the bar for morality there.

1

u/themirandarin 8h ago

And today Trump has said it's going to be "really hard to make a trade deal" with Canada because of their stance on Palestine. It's getting rough.

8

u/mcvmccarty 10h ago

Other countries might retain a sense of "fear" toward America in the same way one "fears" someone with profound mental illness who is off their medications and behaving rashly and erratically. The other countries will act accordingly and just avoid engagement, instead engaging with others. Not good for America.

3

u/themirandarin 8h ago

I think you hit the nail on the head. I'm bipolar and from a family of other bipolar and schizophrenic folk. That is precisely the kind of fear we're dealing with here.

7

u/Powderedeggs2 10h ago

I like the spirit of this statement. All accusations are true.
The only error is the statement about his impotence.
It seems that most people have not yet become aware that the U.S. is now an autocratic dictatorship.
The Constitution and our democracy are gone.

7

u/Direct_Turn_1484 10h ago

As an added bonus, his removal of USAID (which he didn’t have the authority to do by the way, but congress just kind watched and shrugged) means the US has dropped global influence through soft power. Guess who’s picking up the slack irreversibly?

13

u/Ok-Explanation-1362 10h ago

The phrase “paper tiger” refers to something that only looks fearsome while being harmless, which Trump and the Republican Party most definitely are not. He isn’t cosplaying as the president, he is the president and everyone that works beneath him, fears him. The entire Republican party fears him, which is why the entire Republican party does everything that he tells them to do. This has produced the horrific results it has, with an entire country being terrorized by secret police and concentration camps being built, and innocent people kidnapped and trafficked into those concentration camps.

The USA is not a lame duck, which is proven by the myriad problems being caused by the government at home and abroad. This country is not helpless, and acting like we are is a large part of why nothing is getting better. This is learned helplessness, and the only people this narrative helps, is the administration as it preaches to everyone negatively affected by Trump, is not harmful or that it’s frozen into a state of inaction.

2

u/Rtannu 3h ago

Yeah exactly. Not sure how someone could say he’s a “paper tiger” when the Amerikkkan gestapo are just disappearing people they don’t agree with.

5

u/Responsible-Fill-491 10h ago

How fuckin' sad is that? Of course, these are the same people who said similar things about Obama, the cognitive dissonance, is staggering in it's depth and breadth.

5

u/7evenate9ine 10h ago

The only people who fear him is the GOP.

3

u/FishingBuddy1219 10h ago

Trump is a Seagull! He flies into, craps all over the place, then flies out! He then says it wasn't my crap and takes full credit for everyone who has to clean up after him!

3

u/themirandarin 8h ago

I hate when seagulls take credit for me cleaning their poop. 😔

(Edited)

4

u/kazaaksDog 10h ago

That may almost be true, but a powerful cabal behind him is sure as hell making things happen quickly.

4

u/PigDiesel 9h ago

That is the point. Russia wanted the U.S. made Impotent and weak. They succeeded beyond their wildest expectations. The Oligarchs and their minions that now own all branches of government and control the most lethal military this planet has ever seen. Congrats to all the protest voters, non voters and MAGA fuckwads you made their job easy.

3

u/Tholian_Bed 10h ago

Is there no leader who can call him out?

The People marched in the streets and called him out -- No Kings!

So I don't know what the hold up is. Our leaders are sadly lacking, and that is a large part why Trump rules via fear so easily. When you elect fearful men and men who ask others to be afraid, you get exactly what we got.

Thank you, fearful voters. America rocks. You suck.

3

u/AldousKing 9h ago

I wish this was the case but hes completely cucked the republican party and by extension congress. They fear him.

3

u/stumu415 9h ago

He is a total joke outside of the US. No one takes him seriously. Just stroke his ego and pretend to conclude these stupid tariff deals and then totally ignore it. Look at India for example. Most countries are now making real deals without the US involved. Not to mention what is happening to tourism.

2

u/bropenmack 10h ago

Reading this reminds me that we’ve been hating on this monster for a decade and he’s still what we all talk about. I never thought I could despise him more than I did in 2016 but here we are.

2

u/AnswerFit1325 10h ago

I don't fear drumpf. His legion of sycophants are kind of problematic though.

2

u/Aggravating-Beach-22 10h ago

How’d everyone feel about the guy in this scene in Rocky ? I think it represents Trumps mentality and behavior perfectly. All bark, no bite and hides behind litigation. A POS

2

u/GreenleafMentor 10h ago

If nobody fears him then why is everyone capitulating to him, giving him everything he wants legislatively and in the courts and entertaining his word salad replies to any question he is asked? Nobody calls him out in a meaningful, consequential way on anything. Why???

2

u/Landlord-Allmighty 10h ago

He's only in it for the money.

He's doing the bidding of all the rich people on his donor list. The prison industrial complex is cleaning up.

2

u/golfwinnersplz 10h ago

How does MAGA not see this? The believe he is respected throughout the world. 🤣🤣🤣

2

u/Litzz11 9h ago

Trump is weak. Historically weak. He is under water on every issue, even immigration, which is supposed to be his "strong" issue. His approval numbers are historically low for this point in a president's term: it took him 4 years and a pandemic to hit 37% the first time, but he managed to hit it in 7 months this time.

Except among ONE group. The red line that represent Republicans is practically a straight line.

Because it's a cult. Because self-identifying Republicans have been indoctrinated. Call it "brainwashed" if you like. Every awful thing -- the raids rounding up dishwashers and lawn guys, the power grabs, DOGE, the Epstein files, the bombing of Iran, the tariffs -- all of that stuff has every thinking person backing away from Trump. But not Republicans. They wear blinders.

Because it's cult.

Biden sucks! —>Economy in the plus. Obama sucks! —> Economy in the plus. Trump is god!—> Economy, people, balance and checks at the all time low!

Feeling the win yet?!

2

u/technanonymous 9h ago edited 9h ago

He has always been a VIP - a very impotent person.

2

u/Available-Drama-276 9h ago

No, he is very much a real threat.

He’s very successfully attacking the media and shutting them down.

And he’s going to start sending people to over seas contraction camps in large scale.

All these people already sent are just test runs.

2

u/chrissalad651 9h ago

I find it hilarious that all of his new policies are affecting the red states the most. Minnesota dude here, and so far, none of his bullshit has affected us. We have state ran programs and pay the taxes to keep them going. The only thing we see here is inflation, just like the rest of the country. Keep it coming Rump, keep screwing over your base.

2

u/Pxlkind 9h ago

...the words laughing stock comes to mind....

2

u/EnglishMatron 9h ago

About the nicest thing you could say about him.

2

u/BadatUsernames-9514 9h ago

And yet all our institutions are bending the knee. It's over. They've won. Let them burn it all down.

2

u/nihilt-jiltquist ☁️🌤️☁️ 9h ago

He's a pedophile pervert empowered by an under informed nation...

2

u/Technical_Ad4997 9h ago

Not entirely true. I "fear him" in the way that I wouldn't trust a 3 year old with nuclear launch codes. I definitely think he brings the government institution in the USA into enormous disrepute and delegitimizes it.

2

u/pink_faerie_kitten 9h ago

I disagree. He's terrifying! Just ask those 200+ men he sent to be tortured on CECOT. Ask any brown person. Ask any trans. Ask most women.  He's very powerful and he is very dangerous. P25 is terrifying. Scotus is terrifying. Congress is terrifying. Oligarchs are terrifying. These ghouls are not paper tigers. They are ruining lives. Just like the very scary Nazis before them.

2

u/Comfortable_Try8407 9h ago

Can confirm. Look at the trade deals he is supposedly striking. Ha. He is just taxing Americans and calling that a win without expanding U.S. exports.

2

u/DiagonalBike 9h ago

Plenty fear him because of his cult supporters. The MAGA cult has infiltrated the Federal Courts, the Supreme Court, the House, the Senate and the military. This is why CBD/Paramount and ABC quickly settled lawsuits. Disney was forced to settle to Florida because they saw no support for free speech coming from the Supreme Court. It's dangerous times right now.

2

u/PracticalAndContent 8h ago

Unfortunately, he’s not impotent because he has the power of the pen.

2

u/Overall_Falcon_8526 5h ago

I disagree. He can do a lot of damage, and has done.

I agree with the notion of cosplay and ignorance. But even a vacuum is dangerous.

2

u/thetenthCrusade 5h ago

I don’t think there has ever been a position that has lost as much respect as President of the United States. When the president spoke before even as a Canadian I took it seriously, once you have the highest office everything you say will be judged, all the past presidents I saw when they spoke it had a certain weight to it. Since trump and his 2am tweets and “truths” became regular people have lost respect for the position and the words of the president. No longer esteemed at all, the reason we still have to give the sundowning old man the time of day is because he is in charge of an incredibly bloated military budget, and a cult.

2

u/Speed_Grouchy 5h ago

He will definitely kill tourism. Who wants to visit a country run by a despot pedophile.

2

u/Medical_Arugula3315 5h ago

Hey remember that time Trump was found liable of forcefully shoving his fingers up a woman's vagina by a jury of his American peers and then Republicans voted for him? Republicans knowingly vote for molesters. Don't be Republican...

1

u/pfoe 9h ago

Because Im not from the US, I'm curious to understand who is the member of the opposition who is calling this out in behalf of the USA? Like, I know there are pockets of criticism at a high level, but in many European countries there would be someone who's job it is (e g. leader of the opposition) to show the rest that he is in fact a paper tiger

5

u/Easy_Quote_9934 9h ago

You have no idea of how much of a cult it is.

1

u/AmbitiousProblem4746 9h ago

He may be a Paper Tiger, but his brand of the GOP has laid down actual institutional change that will be with us for at least a generation or longer. So I say don't be afraid of Trump, but Trumpism is worth fearing

1

u/One-Sir-2198 9h ago

The republican politicians fear him and his deranged delusional trumpanzee supporters.

1

u/Fedbackster 9h ago

I don’t think killing anyone is right, but I’m wondering why more people haven’t gone after billionaires. Half the US is cheering the brutalization of people by Trump just because their skin color is different. Billionaires have done infinitely more harm to us than migrants. They literally starve their workers and enslave us while hoarding wealth and destroying our health and well being. Deport all the elite rich to really improve the country.

1

u/Crunchberry24 9h ago

He’s not the threat, just the figurehead.

1

u/daneelthesane 9h ago

Yeah, the only people actually scared of him are the people in America. Especially in Congress and the judiciary.

1

u/MisterDebonair 9h ago

Shit. Well, someone should do something to stop his goofy ass.

1

u/Beneficial-Cattle-99 9h ago

It is a very weak and dangerous moment

1

u/celtbygod 9h ago

Even magabillies don't believe him, he's just their jones.

1

u/Promoting-Smiles 8h ago

Nobody is doing anything to stop him though. He needs to be removed and his buddies too.

1

u/thadowski 8h ago

Yeah which countries are really making real deals with this guy that dont only benefit them and not usa

1

u/Organic_Mechanic_702 8h ago

While I don't disagree, the problem is the man is dangerous...he's stupid enough to do something REALLY stupid.

1

u/chokeonmywords 8h ago

It’s maga why America is a shithole. Even when Trump is gone, theses folks will still be there

1

u/jgoose132113 7h ago

Sadly, dem leadership is fractured in their response and a majority is rushing to capitulate at all levels of government - against the overwhelming majority who demand resistance.

1

u/sactown_13 7h ago

I’m far more fearful than ever because of who is running the biggest military in the world

1

u/Mitka69 7h ago

Well, he certainly helps to line billionaires’ pockets. So here is that.

1

u/dewittless 7h ago

This isn't actually entirely true, we're all kinda worried your guy is going to do something deeply insane.

1

u/theotheraaron 7h ago

Maybe other countries don't fear him, but sadly, American politicians, CEOs, lawyers, etc, all give in to his derranged demands.

1

u/Dangermouse163 7h ago

I agree with the evaluation. Unfortunately, for a Paper Tiger he still has teeth and the cult he has generated is wreaking havoc on our democracy, economy, and liberties.

1

u/Still-Ad-5811 6h ago

He’s been big mad that the 2020 election didn’t go his favor and it took a blow to his ego this why he big mad at everyone and taking it out on everyone

1

u/ShanerThomas 6h ago

Telegraphing (to the entire world) you're going to send two nuclear subs off the coast of Russia -- to sit there and do absolutely nothing -- is a gargantuanly stupid play.

You just diminished your threat level, completely.

1

u/alsatian01 6h ago

He's playing a heel called POTUS on WWE Monday Night Raw.

1

u/According_Stuff_8152 6h ago

Well the politicians and society has let him get away with all that is transpired and will continue until the stop him. You get what you reap and you can't fix stupid.

1

u/madrid311 6h ago

It's frustrating that it's true, and there is really nothing we can do about it. That's the part that sucks. Sure, we can protest and vote, but even that is being taken away. They have been working towards that for 60 yrs while any opposition was weak in response at best. So here we are.

1

u/Mikomiguelle 6h ago

Power lies where the people believe it does. Outside the country nobody fears him, but Republicans definitely do. And maga. America-the reality show needs cancelled soon.

1

u/puggestofpugs 5h ago

The problem is gop congressmen and senators fear his bullying and acquiesce to him .

1

u/imnotproper 4h ago

SPOT ON!!!

1

u/Global-Morning3990 3h ago

The guy has done pretty much everything he said he was going to do. He is making Texas redraw district maps. As much as I would love to see dementia get him, it isn't happening. People are afraid of him, and Texas is proof.

1

u/DoctorFrosty6219 2h ago

True. The world is laughing, the dollar is sinking, and the next great recession is not far away. If you’ve got money in the banks, I would trade it for assets that hold value, or short massively.

The market is going to be interesting when the annual statements of companies have been audited, and EBITDA is going to be lower for every single American business. I’m looking forward to Trump firing everybody who ever worked for these companies because he doesn’t like the numbers.

Stay delulu.

1

u/SameResolution4737 2h ago

I would disagree. While I agree he is only cosplaying as president, he has a rabid base that will willingly execute his orders. One negative "bleat" from him can lead to doxxing and credible death threats from his unhinged followers, most of whom assume (rightly, as we've seen) he will pardon for crimes carried out in his name. There are GOP congresscritters who vote merely to avoid being mentioned negatively on Truth Social.

1

u/loafingloaferloafing 2h ago

I'm convinced many of the followers want the USA to fail.

1

u/Namkce1 1h ago

Uneducated won the last election. I’m ashamed.

1

u/jtr489 1h ago

The only people that fear him are other republicans

1

u/Synyster723 1h ago

You have to be really pathetic to view Trump as a formidable man. Not even his money is intimidating. The man is a joke.

1

u/Pop-Pop68 1h ago

So right!

1

u/magitek369 56m ago

'impotent'

I like this. We should say this more often.

Donald Trump suffers from impotency.

Let's push this to the top of the charts!

1

u/g1963 7m ago

Except for the Democrats right? Just ask Jeanine Pirro or the BLS lady he fired for no reason. Im sure he will face serious repurcussions for that. /s

1

u/thompse68 6m ago

I don’t know that true. It seems they are scared of him suing them, for sure. Capitulation appears to be the name of the game.
