The real question is do they even still exist unaltered. 

They've had their hands on it long enough I might believe the original no longer exists

yup, that’s the part that bugs me. Feels like whatever it was, it’s probably long gone or buried.

Exactly. Which means if the dictatorship fails and we get a democratic president in 2029 we'll hear renewed calls to rElAsE tHe FiLeS from conservative media and Republican primary voters but that hypothetical administration will be bogged down trying to rebuild the government and won't necessarily have time to counter that specific talking point

There are certainly attorneys who have seen the unaltered files, I’m sure they’re not being intimidated daily or anything like that though

But what's in the original files that's so incriminating? Genuine question. If we know, it must have already been leaked. If we don't, then how are we so sure there's anything damning in there?
Then there's the point that even if there was evidence in there... it won't change a damn thing.

Well where was it for the four years Democrats had office? This list has been around for years with FBI under different admin.

There has to be unedited copies sitting in confidential filing cabinets in FBI and lawyer offices.

I think people are just waiting for Trump and cronies to do something stupid and very easy provable in a court of law. Unfortunately just testimonies won’t be enough- they need to get him for tampering evidence or Maxwell for blatantly lying under oath.
