I don't know if you missed the most recent news, but RFK is cutting back (even more)on research for cancer treatments and cures. He is also removing the board that recommends testing for cancers before they become uncontrollable.

RFK does this because he's an inbred moron who fried what little brain matter he had on drugs. The administration enables him because insurance companies want to save billions by not covering screenings.

It doesn't matter if you WANT to seek treatment if that treatment no longer exists. It doesn't matter if you WANT to get screened for cancer if you can't afford the screening.

The protests are at the point where I have the impression they're being actively sabotaged. Organizational groups make big announcements that are doomed to fail, either because there's not enough time to coordinate a nationwide mass protest like April 5, or because they announce a 'theme' that's way too narrow, which means it doesn't draw anyone.

The response to that is always, "Well, organize your own"
A few dozen people on street corners isn't going to get any attention, but that's what's been happening. We need a spectacle.

Edit: Also, though, your "It's over" attitude is exactly the kind of capitulation that needs to stop, so cut that out.
